like PS3 innovates with their motion controls (hello Wiimote) and PSN (hello XBL)???
couldn't agree more (both comments)
I think I noticed that too for a while. and juuken - oops I mean ultimolu - is someone we have in common... hmmmm...
agree with some of your arguments except that JRPG = last-gen by default IMO. western RPGs are where you look for next-gen (well, maybe we'll see when FFXIII comes out that JRPGs aren't stale/dead).
also, about the 360 demographic, ummm... and that's why they turned off voice chat in Home, because people were acting civilized...????
lol and that's why u got all them agrees, right?
thanks 4 proving FantasyStar's point, PS3 fanboys.
map editors r fun! I used to go nuts with Tenchu 2 & Tony Hawk 3...
my (360) saves all seem fine tho
so THAT'S what that was when I loaded up today. good. maybe now Walter of Megaton (water-processing plant) won't keep disappearing on me. scrap metal = caps! :)
fortunately my saves all seem to be intact...
agree w/Eiffel & dirtrider. bubbles for the (rare) commonsense-using members of n4g.
don't be stup1d the hardware problems were caused by the rush to be 1st to market with a next-gen console. yes there are still red rings with the Falcon chip but that doesn't mean MS is incapable of making a sturdy console; just that it's hard to get approved for the (huge) $ it would take to properly fix the problem. instead they incorporate the costs of chip upgrades into the gradual streamlining of console production over the years (which admittedly it's still BS to treat the consumer th...
was just about to say that but I saw your comment. PS2 got some purty games towards the end of last-gen (ok yeah I know it's still selling tho...)
I think I'm ready to add KZ2 to the list of PS3 games I envy:
LBP
KZ2
...and maybe Uncharted
that's about it. but hey, I bought original xbox over PS2 for only 2 games really - Morrowind & KOTOR.
paying for themes is one thing, but I'm more annoyed that I can't remove the foreground and freely view the ones I've already paid for. I've got some great artwork like the Castlevania SOTN: Portraits theme and the Metal Battalion: Maiden Pinups theme that I can never see without the dashboard items in front.
now that the whole dashboard has changed and there are "premium" themes I think it's a non-issue for those since, judging by the pic for this article, they seem...
I'm more inclined to think that MS scooped the Braid project up to help counter some of the innovation on PSN like that M.C. Escher-esque thing (is that even a real game tho?). and once they sign with MS, they gotta play by their rules.
there's a difference between implying the PS3 was only good for watching blu-ray (due to a lack of games for a while there) and wanting additional movie-watching functionality on a 360 which had/has a good games library.
@Droid Control - why an add-on? with blu-ray players @ sub-$200 prices it would have to be even lower in price to be worth it. I'll just by a stand-alone player if/when I'm ready to go blu, instead of relying on a 360 attachment.
Bioshock 2 in 2009 please
there's a difference between the implication that a console is only good for watching movies due to the lack of games available and improved movie-watching functionality added to a system that already has a large games library.
but personally I still think it's silly to watch Netflix on my 360 since it has to start on the pc anyway. I don't use Netflix at all.
I prefer orig GEARS graphics. the muted background colors really made the selective use of color more interesting. there was a lot more pop to the shock of red on locust uniforms or blue sky peeking out from the clouds above.
can't speak to Resistance since I have 360 only but I think I know what u mean about the color Kleptic and I agree.
new tech is great and we need devs to push the envelope but... equally important is the application of artistic STYLE.
that's why I've already traded it back. if campaign mode wasn't complete crap I might've kept it...
orig GEARS was better.
also nice comments.
I feel compelled to buy this game now, just to support SouthPeak for staying true to their vision and not crumbling to the pressure of puritanical hypocrites.
...well not really just because of that. I like the art style I've been seeing in my glimpses of Velvet Assassin and will continue to keep my eye on it.
